  my ex bf, newly reinstated jw, was texting me that his 75 year old parents (uber dubs) are giving him grief about taking on some debt to buy a new truck to invest in his new job.

  they thought he should just resume his old window cleaning biz.

  so i told him just to tell them not to worry about the debt since it will be wiped clean in the new system, which is right around the corner.. whoops -- i thought i was being clever but apparently my comment offended him.

  What is the difference (in reality) between them being appointed as Gods channel in 1919 as well as over Christ's belongings, and the 'new light' where they were still appointed as Gods channel in 1919? It seems as though not much has changed except the wording of something that makes no difference, but maybe it's just me..

  last night i found out a close jw friend of mine takes delight in watching animal torture.

  i am an animal lover, and i dont know what to think.

  i dont want to end our friendship because this friend has been very accepting of me.

  There's nothing on this earth that I hate more than animal abuse/torture.. And I seriously doubt that this 'friend' was joking. I for one don't see anything funny about it.
